Did you see that Rolling Stone magazine has revised their top 500 Greatest Songs of All Time? It is the first time they have revised it in 17 years. Aretha's "Respect" was #1 by the way.

The Rolling Stone 500 got us thinking about all the great MAINE songs. Songs that mention our great state in the lyrics. You would think that with all the amazing people, places, (and tourists) that have experienced Maine, that there would be a ZILLION songs that would include Maine in their lyrics. After all, Maine is really a state of mind. Kinda like Margaritaville but with Allen's Coffee Brandy instead of tequila. Well, unlike the Rolling Stone list, there are not 500 songs that mention Maine. But we did find 10 great songs from some pretty big artists.
