Teen Crashes Car Into Presque Isle Home, Minor Injuries Reported
A Presque Isle teen was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after experiencing braking problems with his automobile and crashing into a private residence.
According to Presque Isle Police Officer Tyler Cote, 18-year old Jordan Scott was driving his 2001 Ford Mustang on Wilson Street in Presque Isle around 8:16 a.m.
Scott said his brakes went out as he was driving through the Park Street intersection, thus going off the roadway, through a snow bank and crashing into an unoccupied residence at 23 Park Street.
The crash caused significant damage to the residence and totaled the vehicle, according to Officer Cote.
Scott was assisted by Presque Isle Fire and Ambulance but was taken to Northern Light Health - A.R. Gould Hospital in another vehicle due to minor injuries he received in the accident.
The vehicle was removed from the scene and police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
