Winters in our area a long and cold. Aside from snowmobiling and playing outside with my daughter, I spend a great deal of time inside this time of year and so does my dog, especially with the frigid temperatures lately!

Here in Northern Maine, it gets cold. That’s a fact of life, really. Maine, the way life should be! That’s what I think anyway. I like the cold, as long as snow follows. It never seems as cold if we have snow for some reason.

The holiday season is a time to celebrate with family and friends. And yes, food may be a centerpiece of holiday festivities, but the holiday season doesn’t mean you have to pack on the pounds.

The holiday season is a stressful time of year for many of us. There is always lots of hustle and bustle, trying to get ready for this party or that party, getting gifts purchased, wrapped and under the tree.
