Trooper Dan Marquis responded to the single-vehicle accident at around 9:00 a.m., according to a press release from Corp. Chuck Michaud.

Police say 22-year-old Melanie Martin of Madawaska was driving west on Route 1 in Frenchville when she lost control of her 2012 Honda Civic on a turn. Martin’s car left the roadway and crashed into several small trees. She was evaluated at the scene by Ambulance Service, Inc. of Fort Kent for minor injuries, Michaud said.

The damage to the Honda Civic was estimated to be approximately $4,000.
