Security Camera Catches Close-Call Collision at Durham Get & Go
A pickup truck swerved to avoid a vehicle that had slowed to turn in front of him and ended up hitting 5 parked cars in a lot at the Durham Get & Go on Rt 136 yesterday.
According to the article in The Times Record, one person was taken to the hospital complaining of pain.
The story reports that the pickup truck was being driven by Matthew Miller of Auburn, struck the Toyota that had slowed down, then the truck veered into the gas pumping area hitting a Subaru, another pickup, and a Mercedes. The speeding pickup truck and the Subaru were both totaled, according to the newspaper, and the Mercedes was towed away.
No charges have been filed at this time and the accident is under investigation, the Times Record stated.
Some comments on Durham Get & Go's Facebook page suggest the speed limit is too high for that stretch of route 136.
