26-year-old Elle King doesn't look, sound, dress or behave like a cookie-cutter singer. Yet the first single from her debut full-length album dominated the charts this year and she looks to do the same with her new one.

Tanner Elle Schneider King has numerous tattoos, has been know to sling a banjo and dress in outfits ranging from Renaissance era troubadour to biker chick. She can belt out the blues, croon a country song, get down and dirty with bar rock then turn around and deliver a pitch-perfect pop dance number. The daughter of comedian-actor Rob Schneider and model London King is equal parts unusual and real-woman glamorous.

After getting noticed when a song from her first EP  Playing For Keeps was featured as the theme to VH1's Mob Wives Chicago, King released Love Stuff earlier this year. The first single "Exes and Ohs" stood out for its soul blues swagger and a video that turned sexual tropes on their heads.  She's been compared to Amy Winehouse and Duffy, but I think, only if she were guided by the spirits of Johnny Cash and Elvis.
