Presque Isle Man Seriously Injured after Crash in Maine
A 47-year-old Presque Isle man was seriously injured Sunday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Route 1-A in Limestone.
Three People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash
Two other people, 23-year-old Phillips Mills from Rumford and 25-year-old Austin Skidgell from Carthage, were treated with non-life threatening injuries. The collision happened around 5:32 am near Bog Road.
Car Crossed the Centerline into Oncoming Traffic
The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office said Dow was driving a Honda Accord when he crossed the centerline and crashed with a Chevy Silverado driven by Mills.
Man Extricated from Vehicle
“Dow was extricated from the vehicle by Limestone Fire Department and transported to Cary Medical Center with serious injuries,” said Sheriff Peter A. Johnson.
Crash under Investigation
The crash is under investigation. Assisting on the scene was the Maine DOT, US Border Patrol, Limestone Fire Department, Caribou Ambulance, and Presque Isle Police Department.
