Plane Crashed and Pilot Injured at Airport in Maine
A plane crashed at the Oxford Airport after the engine stopped and a pilot was injured on Saturday morning.
Pilot Injured after Plane Crash
The Oxford Police Department said the pilot was taken to the hospital with lower back issues. He was the only person on board.
Test Flight and Repairs
Police said the airplane was being repaired and the pilot took it out for a flight test from the Oxford Airport.
Plane Engine Stopped
The engine stopped working on the plane about an hour and a half into the flight, said WGME News.
Airport Fence Damaged
The crash damaged the outer fence of the airport. No other damage or injuries were reported.
FAA Investigation
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
