Overnight Fire in Western New Brunswick Leaves Man Homeless

The Red Cross is assisting a Holmesville, N.B. man after an overnight fire destroyed his home.

Firefighters responded to the blaze on Mineral Road around midnight. Crews were on scene until the early hours Friday. There were no injuries.

Canadian Red Cross spokesman Dan Bedell says volunteers are helping the man with emergency lodging and meals.

Holmesville is about 20 kilometres north of Florenceville-Bristol. We'll have more information as it becomes available.
