One Person Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Meductic, N.B.
One man was taken to hospital with what police called “non-life-threatening injuries” following a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning on the Trans-Canada Highway near Meductic.
Woodstock RCMP and emergency crews responded to the collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 2 shortly before 8:45 a.m., according to Constable Nick Hamill.
Two transport trucks and a FedEx delivery truck were involved in the crash. Witnesses said one transport truck was split open and a large amount of debris was scattered on the highway.
The eastbound lanes were completely closed to traffic for a period of time Thursday while the accident scene was cleaned up.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, Hamill said.
