
One Dead and Two Injured after Car Crashed into House in Maine
A 28-year-old woman died early Wednesday morning and two people were injured after a car crashed into a house on Webster Street in Lewiston.
One Dead and Two Injured in Crash
The Lewiston Police Department said four people were in the BMW when it hit the house around 4:17 am.
Woman Died at the Scene
Natahsa Thoits was a passenger in the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated from the vehicle.
Two Other People Removed from Car and One Fled
Two other people were also extricated. The 25-year-old driver, Blaze Small, was injured along with a third person. A fourth person fled on foot before police arrived.
Speed and Impairment Factors
“Preliminary findings indicate that both speed and impairment were contributing factors in the crash,” said Lewiston PD. The investigation is ongoing.
