A 19-year-old man from Nova Scotia arrested in northwestern New Brunswick is facing a number of charges in connection with his alleged role in the theft of two vehicles. 

On April 8, RCMP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in Saint-Quentin.  Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested after fleeing from police.

The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from the Kedgwick area. Police say further investigation identified a second vehicle that had been reported stolen from Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Mitchell Anthony Speight of Amherst, has been charged with dangerous driving and with fleeing from police.

He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court in Campbellton
on April 14 to face additional charges related to the incident.
