In a letter to the NHTSA, Nissan indicated that it is recalling over a million SUVs and sedans due to problems with backup cameras in the vehicles.

The problem with the backup camera systems is they don’t return to the default image when the transmission is shifted into reverse.

The recall multiple 2018 and 2019 models including Rogue, Altima, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Sentra, Titan, Versa Note and Versa Sedan, and also several Infiniti models.

Nissan will notify owners in phases, starting on October 21.
