The Maine Warden Service suspended its search for three missing snowmobilers because of difficult weather condition.

In a separate accident, divers recovered the body of 45 year old Dawn Newell of Yarmouth, who drove her snowmobile into open waters on Rangeley Lake Sunday night. Her 16-year-old son was riding a behind her and his sled started crashing through the ice, but he was able to jump to safety and make it to shore.

A 24-year-old Maine man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed a woman as she walked on a sidewalk.

Pharmacy robberies in Maine more than doubled last year over 2011, and police say they're concerned the robberies are becoming more brazen.

The National Weather Service Office in Caribou measured nearly 27 inches of snowfall in the month of December.  That’s about 4 inches above normal.
