A Presque Isle man has been charged with aggravated assault after an attack involving a large machete.  Presque Isle police responded to reports of a fight yesterday afternoon on Riverside Drive near the courthouse.

Temperatures are becoming more seasonable today after record warmth hit the region. The National Weather Service says it was 59 degrees in Portland yesterday, breaking the old record of 53 degrees.   Caribou hit a high of 52 degrees, also a record for the day.

Maine wardens are planning to use a remotely operated, underwater device to search the waters of Rangeley Lake for three men who are believed to have accidentally ridden their snowmobiles into the lake's icy waters last month.
