Southern rockers rejoice, because the legendary, amazing Molly Hatchet is due to hit the stage in Dover-Foxcroft.

Molly Hatchet to Perform at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena

I have always  had a Southern Rock soul. I’ve seen so many Southern Rock Bands in concert, and one of my favorites has always been Molly Hatchet. I saw them in the late 80s at the old Bangor Auditorium and I’m pretty sure I embarrassed my companion. Although we sat in the stadium where people tended to stay in their seats, I couldn’t stop jumping up and moving to the music. So, when I heard that they are coming to Maine this summer, I scrambled to find the details.

Molly Hatchet will be at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena on Saturday, June 8th. This will be the first major concert at the venue since it opened in 2019 and promises to be a good one. The Center Theatre is presenting the show, in collaboration with Bissell Brothers Brewing.

Hear Major Molly Hatchet Hits Like Flirtin' With Disaster

If you’re unfamiliar with the music of this Florida-based band, they’re edgier than other Southern Rock Bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd. According to their website, the band is named for a 17th century axe murderess who would behead her lovers, so the music goes to the dark side sometimes. Their hits include ‘Flirtin’ With Disaster,’ ‘Whiskey Man,’ and my favorite ‘Dreams I’ll Never See.’

Where to Buy Tickets for Molly Hatchet

Tickets are available on the Center Theatre’s website, by visiting their box office on East Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft, or by calling 207-564-8943. Prices range from $30 to $55.
