A 75-year-old man and a 43-year-old man died in two separate off-road crashes in Maine.

First Off-Road Crash Involved an ATV

Frank McBride from Lowell was pronounced dead at the scene of the first crash on Shore Lane, a private dirt road in Lovell.

ATV Left the Road, Crossed a Driveway, and Crashed Head-On into a Tree

The Maine Warden Service said McBride lost control of the ATV, left the road, went across a residential driveway, collided with a metal basketball pole, glanced off a tree and hit another tree head-on.

First Crash Under Investigation

The crash happened around 3 pm Friday. Wardens are investigating.

Second Fatal Off-Road Crash Involved a Dirt Bike

A second crash happened Sunday night around 7:15 pm in Mayfield.

David Pooler from Waterville was found dead after a dirt bike crash on Palmer Pond Road.

Dirt Bike Going Fast When Man Lot Control and Crashed

The Maine Warden Service said Pooler was going at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his dirt bike and crashed.
