An ATV crash has claimed the life of a 25-year old man in the Local Service District of Grand Falls, N.B.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP responded to a report of a crash involving a side-by-side in a wooded area off Route 130. RCMP believe the driver of the off-road vehicle tried to negotiate a turn and the side-by-side rolled on its side, ejecting the driver. There were two passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash, They were not injured.

The driver, a 25-year old man from the Local Service District of Grand Falls was taken to Moncton City hospital with serious injuries. He succumbed to his injuries on the morning of July 8.

Police believe speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors in the crash, however the investigation into the crash is continuing.
