
21-Year-Old Man Died after Motorcycle Hit Trees in Maine
A 21-year-old man died Sunday morning after a motorcycle crash on Vigue Road in Whitefield.
Left the Road and Struck Trees
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said the man lost control of his 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250, left the road and hit trees around 10:52 am.
Died at the Scene
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Name was not released until the family was notified.
Speed and Inexperience Appear to be Factors
“Speed and driver inexperience appear to be contributing factors,” said the Sheriff’s Office.
Wearing a Helmet
The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Road Closed for Hours
The road was closed for several hours and reopened around 1:30 pm. The investigation is ongoing.
Deputies Looking for More Info
Deputies are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact SGT Scott Hayden who is the primary investigator.
