Man Died after Motorcycle and Dump Truck Crash in Maine
A 32-year-old man died Saturday after a motorcycle and dump truck collision on Hollowell Road in Durham.
Motorcyclist Died after Crash with Dump Truck
Coplin Fickett was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash around 6:12 pm.
Crash on Roadway
The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office said a dump truck was leaving the Jaiden Landscaping gravel pit and pulling onto the road when the collision happened.
Laid the Motorcycle Down
Fickett “came around the curve and laid the motorcycle down in an attempt to avoid collision. Despite the maneuver, the motorcycle collided with the truck,” said Deputies.
Dump Truck Driver not Injured
The dump truck driver, 24-year-old Thomas Mosier from Pownal, was not injured.
