A 34-year-old man was arrested for felony drug trafficking after police received a tip he was transporting narcotics to Aroostook County, Maine.

Suspect Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Aroostook County

Timothy Pinkham from Somersworth, New Hampshire was pulled over on I-95 in Sherman on June 4. He was traveling from Massachusetts to northern Maine with a large quantity of drugs.

The MDEA’S Aroostook County Task Force and Maine State Troopers said Pinkham tried to dispose of Fentanyl after he was stopped.

3.8 Pounds of Meth Seized in Vehicle and Locked Container

The MDEA said law enforcement searched his vehicle and seized “over 1300 grams (2.8 pounds) of methamphetamine and over 3.5 grams of fentanyl were located. Also located in the vehicle was a locked container, which Agents later obtained a search warrant for. Located in the container was another 441 grams of methamphetamine, bringing the total amount seized to over 3.8 pounds. The street value of the methamphetamine seized is over $150,000 dollars.”

Multiple Drug Charges

Pinkham was charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking, 2 Counts of Unlawful Furnishing of Drugs, 2 Counts of Unlawful Drug Possession and Operating without a License. His bail was set at $75,000 cash.

Transported to Jail

Pinkham was taken to the Aroostook County Jail.
