
Man Arrested after Drive-By Shooting & Police Standoff in Maine
A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday after a drive-by shooting and police standoff in Portland.
Criminal Threatening Charges
Dominick Morrison was charged with Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon and Criminal Threatening.
Moped Drive-By
The Portland Police Department said a man on a moped shot in the direction of a bystander on St. John Street around 4:54 pm. The suspect fled the scene.
Crisis Negotiators
Officers located him an hour later at 171 Washburn Avenue. The Crisis Negotiators and the Special Reaction Team were called in. The area was closed for safety concerns.
Suspect Apprehended
Morrison “emerged and was taken into custody,” said Portland PD.
Search Warrant Executed
A search warrant was executed at his residence and evidence related to the shooting was recovered.
