Man Arrested After Crashing Car Into Cemetery in Fredericton Area
RCMP say a 19-year-old man has been arrested after crashing a vehicle into a cemetery in Hoyt, New Brunswick.
Shortly before 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oromocto RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash at a cemetery on Route 101 (Sunbury Drive) in Hoyt, according to Constable Derek Black.
Police believe that the driver lost control of the vehicle and veered onto the cemetery property. Some headstones were damaged, but no one was injured.
Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Hoyt, N.B. at the scene for impaired driving. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Burton Provincial Court on October 17 to face charges.
