Maine Woman Struck By Vehicle in Apple Orchard
State Police say an elderly woman was injured when she was accidentally run over in an apple orchard in Livermore.
Eighty-seven-year old Vivian Buotte of Mexico, Maine is being treated at the Central Maine Maedical Center in Lewiston for hip injuries.
Buotte was with family members in the orchard picking apples when she was struck by a Subaru, driven by her daughter. The mishap took place Monday at the Berry Fruit Farm on Crash Road in Livermore, police say.
No charges are expected.
