And like any pet mom, I would do absolutely anything to keep him from harm. And that means making sure he doesn’t get any food that will hurt him and his beautiful little body.

But sometimes, even with the best intentions, certain foods can fall on the floor or somehow slip into their mouths and that could be dangerous, even deadly to our pups.

We all know that chocolate is one of those big no-no's! But did you know about green tomatoes, nutmeg, and even spinach? All of those foods can be toxic to our dogs.

Green tomatoes surprised me, I learned that they have this thing called solanine, which can completely mess with your dogs entire nervous system.

And when the holidays come and you are cooking in the kitchen, you are most likely using nutmeg. Guess what nutmeg can do? Cause hallucinations and seizures!

Oh! And spinach? Even though it’s healthy for us, it’s filled with oxalic acid which will damage your dogs kidneys.
