PLYMOUTH, Maine (AP) — Police say a Plymouth man has died after the vehicle he was working on fell on him.

A spokesman for the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department says 57-year-old Roger Crocker was working under a jacked-up vehicle in his own driveway at about 5 p.m. Wednesday when it rolled off the jack and pinned him underneath.

Officers say Crocker was unresponsive when they arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the vehicle's wheels had not been chocked.

The death remains under investigation.
