The weather continues to be absolutely perfect here in Maine as the fall season rolls along.

The days are warm, the nights are cool—giving Maine ideal conditions for stunning fall foliage.

Maine's Fall Season is in Full Effect

The season is cruising by, with reports now dropping weekly. According to Maine.gov, the peak season for Northern Maine is happening as I write this. That’s followed by mid-October for Central and Western Maine, and then closer to the end of October for Southern Maine. We’re at peak in Northern Maine, folks.

It's always exciting when the "peak" season start to kick off. It's wonderful to see the leaves starting to change quite a bit.  And thanks to the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry's Maine Foliage Report, we can see exactly where things stand.

We’re at peak in Northern Maine, folks. Time to jump in the car and head north to enjoy all the wonderful colors in The County.

Fall Foliage Can be Found Across Maine Right Now

The rest of the state is progressing nicely as well. Central and Eastern Maine are currently at moderate to high levels of foliage. And it’s interesting to see Southern Maine already at moderate levels. We're just into October, and much of the yellow is already gone.

More warm weather is expected to hit Maine over the next week, so it will be interesting to see how that affects the season. Hopefully, the cooler nights will continue to help offset these 80-degree days.
