Cruise America included Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport on their list of ‘The 9 Best Campgrounds in the US to Visit in 2024,’ ranking it 5th in the country. They highlighted the following features of this Pine Tree State camping destination:

Open May through October, this postcard-perfect site in coastal southern Maine is one of the best campgrounds in the U.S. It’s nestled into a dense forest yet only a mile from one of the state’s best beaches, Goose Rocks. There’s a heated saltwater pool, kayaking, and paddle-boarding right on the property in the salt marsh and a game tent for family crafts and yard games.
