JAY-Z Fans Rush to Sign Up For TIDAL Before ‘4:44′ Drops
He's a business, man.
JAY-Z's mysterious new album 4:44 drops at midnight on Friday (June 30) and let's just say the hip-hop vet's fans are eagerly-anticipating his first release in almost four years. So much so, in fact, that fans are scrambling to sign up for Jay's TIDAL streaming music service before the album is available.
Citing an "inside source," Complex tweeted about TIDAL's stipulations. The album won't be available to anyone who signs up for TIDAL after midnight EST. To hear it after that, you'll have to sign up for Sprint.
"Info from inside source: if you haven’t signed up for Tidal by the time Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ drops, you cant get it after w/o joining Sprint," read the tweet. TIDAL's official Twitter also advertised: "Sign up for TIDAL HiFi before midnight ET to experience @S_C_‘s ‘4:44.’"
Sprint invested $200 million in Tidal back in February. Spring has stated it's objective to market "exclusive content and entertainment experiences" via the partnership.
