A house fire is under investigation and officials are looking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in Mexico, Maine.

The fire happened at 9 Oxford Street on January 6 around 7:26 am.
Vacant Home Fire Classified as Incendiary
“The fire occurred at a vacant home and has been classified as incendiary,” according to Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Person of Interest Caught in Security Camera Footage
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is trying to identify a person shown in surveillance footage. Authorities are looking for information from the individual that could be relevant to the investigation.
Residents Asked to Look at Surveillance Cameras for Images
Residents in the area are being asked to review security cameras to see if there’s any evidence.
