Identical Twin Mothers Give Birth on New Year’s Eve

Nineteen-year-old Aimee and Ashlee Nelson of Akron, Ohio are not only identical twins, they also now have baby boys born about 2 hours apart.

Aimee, whose due date was January 6, arrived at the Summa Akron City Hospital around 4 a.m. Monday. Her sister Ashlee, who was expecting to deliver on January 1, got there a short time later after her water broke.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports Aimee was the first to deliver shortly after noon time, giving birth to her son Donavyn.  Less than two hours later, it was Ashlee’s turn, and welcomed her baby boy Aiden into the world.

“We’re best friends,” said Ashlee of herself and her sister, “And now our babies are going to be best friends.”
