Maine State Police were called to  the crash on the Aroostook Road around 6:20 p.m., according to information from Sgt. Josh Haines.

The investigation determined that 76-year-old Rodney Madore of Eagle Lake was driving a 2008 Hyundai SUV on the Quimby Road approaching the intersection of Aroostook Road (Route 11).   At the same time, 16-year-old Kole Walker of Fort Kent was operating a 2005 GMC truck northbound on the Aroostook Road.  Police said Madore failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by Walker's vehicle.
