A 56-year-old Fort Fairfield man was charged Sunday with Terrorizing after a threat of violence was posted on a social media platform, directed toward a Justice of the Maine Superior Court and the judge's family, said the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office.

David Ossie was taken to the Aroostook County Jail where he remains after an initial court appearance Monday. Ossie is being held on $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 surety. If released on bail he would be restricted to 24/7 house arrest and would be monitored with a GPS tracking device, the Sheriff's Office said.

Ossie was previously convicted of terrorizing a Maine judge in 2013. That conviction makes the new offense a class C felony. He could face up to five years in prison.

Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted in the investigation and arrest by officers from the Fort Fairfield Police Department.
