
Five People Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
Five people were injured Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Center Minot Hill Road in Minot.
Truck Struck Tree in Roadway and Crashed into Second Vehicle
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said a Ford pickup truck hit a fallen tree in the road and caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, cross the centerline and collide with a Toyota Rav.
Two People in the Ford Transported to the Hospital with Injuries
The driver of the Ford, 73-year-old Sherwood Jordan from Bethel, was partially ejected from the truck. Jordan and His passenger, Mitzie Naples, were both injured and transported to the hospital.
Three People in Toyota Injured and Taken to the Hospital
Three people in the Toyota were injured including the 16-year-old driver, Howie Wu from Brooklyn, New York. Two other people in the vehicle were injured and all three were taken to the hospital.
Road Closed for Emergency Vehicles and Crash Investigation
The road in the area was temporarily closed for emergency vehicles and to clear the scene.
First Responders and Law Enforcement on the Scene
The crash investigation is ongoing. Assisting the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office was Minot Fire-Rescue, the Auburn Fire Department and United Ambulance Service.
