One man has been displaced by a fire that destroyed his home Sunday in the western New Brunswick community of Brighton.

Firefighters responded around 4 p.m. to the blaze at a house on Brighton Crossing Road, about 10 kilometres from Hartland. There were no injuries reported.

Disaster volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross are assisting the man with emergency lodging and meals, clothing purchases and other basics, according to spokesman Dan Bedell.
