
Man Faces Up To 20 Years for Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 43-year-old man pleaded guilty to cocaine trafficking in Maine and faces up to 20 years in prison.
Facing 20 Years on Multiple Charges
Lynel Moultrie from South Portland was charged in U.S. District Court with distributing controlled substances.
Undercover Agent Bought Drugs from Suspect
An undercover MDEA agent posing as a drug runner bought cocaine from Moultrie at least three times between February and March 2024.
Extensive Criminal Record Over 20 Years
The South Portland Police Department said he had a lengthy criminal record in Maine going back over 20 years.
Two Residences Were Searched as Part of Investigation
Two residences were searched at 857 Broadway and 112 Colin Kelly Road as part of the investigation. Evidence was recovered related to the charges.
Charged with Four Counts of Drug Trafficking
At the time of his arrest, Moultrie was facing four counts of drug trafficking in Maine, according to the United States Attorney's Office.

Transported to County Jail and Held on $20,000 Bail
He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and held on $20,000 bail.

Moultrie faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine with three years of supervised release.
