Maine’s Local Talk Show, ‘The Nite Show with Danny Cashman’ is Coming to an End
In 1997, Dan Cashman took the stage for the first time to live his dream of being a talk show host. The set was small, as was the audience, but this local TV talk show, recorded in front of a live audience in Bangor, Maine, has legs and has been broadcast continuously across the state since 2010. Now, it is coming to an end.
The Nite Show with Danny Cashman
Dan Cashman is one of the most humble and friendly guys I've ever met. He and I have a lot in common, including our love for game shows. Dan has had some big names like musician and TV game show host, John Davidson, and Marc Summers, the host of Double Dare, WinTuition, History IQ, and the Food Network's Unwrapped.
Dan was also able to book The Count from Sesame Street for a bit in the show.
He's had multiple musical guests, both local and known worldwide.
He has even had me on his show several times, as well as filling in as his co-host for two episodes.
After all the entertainment he has provided Maine, Dan now is ready to move on. As of this writing, there are only four shows left to air:
- John Davidson on April 26
- Marc Summers on May 3
- TBD Guest on May 10
- The End of The Road for The Nite Show on May 11
You can see the Nite Show with Danny Cashman in the Portland area on FOX 23 at 6:30 p.m.
I have to admire Dan for having a dream and doing what it takes to make it happen. I'm going to miss his show, but I've made a good friend.
