Cumberland County Jail Inmate Dies After Taken to Maine Medical Center
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine jail inmate has died after being taken to a hospital from the jail.

Cumberland County Jail officials say jail officers and medical staff administered aid shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday when 30-year-old Karyn Victoria Kundishora-Nowlan went into distress while being held in the jail's medical unit.
Kundishora-Nowlan was transported by ambulance to Maine Medical Center, where she died a short time later.
Officials say the cause of death is undetermined and that the incident is under investigation.
Kundishora-Nowlan was being held on a state probation hold.
