Coyote Spotted in Downtown Houlton

The Houlton police department received several reports from Houlton residents who’ve spotted a coyote in downtown.

The police department issues a statement that says the coyote is not showing any fear of people since the animal was spotted during daylight hours. The department is asking people to be careful and not leave any food out, since the animal might be dangerous to people and animals.

The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has been notified. The Houlton police department is asking people to report any sightings of the coyote.
