The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Commander of the Law Enforcement Division retired Friday after 43 years of service.

Commander Terry “Joe” McKenna dedicated the last two years in Maine after serving most of his career in Florida.

Sheriff Shawn Gillen said:

Friends and colleagues gathered at the Sheriff’s Office in Houlton to wish him well. Thank you for your service, Joe. We wish you a happy and healthy retirement.
