Collision Claims Life of Birch Ridge Man
A 27-year-old man from Birch Ridge, New Brunswick was killed in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning on Highway 116 near Elsipogtog First Nation.
RCMP from Richibucto and Elsipogtog responded to the crash at around 10:45 a.m., according to a news release from Sgt. Pat Tardif.
Police say it appears a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old woman crossed the centre line and collided with the vehicle being driven by the 27-year-old man. He was the only occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist was assisting with the investigation.
