City Hires Mr. Grinch to Nab Speeders

He’s as cuddly as a cactus and charming as an eel.  Donning a Santa suit, with his trusty sidekick Max the dog, the nasty-wasty Grinch is patrolling the streets with his radar gun now through Christmas.

Wyoming is known for allowing the freedom to put the pedal to the metal on the open highway. Not so in Cheyenne, a city of 60,000.  The police department has enlisted the Grinch to get tough on speeders and on drivers using cell-phones.

Police Chief Brian Kozak said, "We thought this would be a great way to get the attention of the motoring public to let you know the Grinch is out there working for us and trying to help us keep our streets safe."
