Christina Grimmie may be gone, but is by no means invisible — the singer just posthumously achieved the huge feat of her first major single release through Republic Records, and "Invisible" couldn't be starker.

Grimmie, who was killed by a manic fan at a meet and greet in June 2016, shines on the EDM-steeped track, which officially drops tomorrow (February 17). The song chronicles a woman who's been relegated to shadows by her relationship, but vows to be seen, demands to be heard and commits to sticking around. It's both eerily prescient and a beautiful resolution.

"I won't be another ghost / No, I won't be invisible / See me everywhere you go / No, I won't be invisible," Grimmie insists over skyscraping vocals and synth loops in which radio would be wise to invest.

Grimmie's mother, father and brother first shared plans in November 2016 to release more of the late Grimmie's music, noting it would be their privilege to continue to keep her memory alive among fans, whom Grimmie called her "frands."

“As her family, we are fully committed to continuing her legacy as she would have wished and will be constantly updating you, the frands, with all Christina-related activities, including her unreleased music and new mixes of existing music,” they wrote on Twitter. “We send our sincerest love and thanks once again for allowing her the privilege of living out her dreams through and with you!"

Sales of the new single will go toward establishing a memorial fund in Grimmie's name, MTV News reports.
