I have seen all over the internet how I 'must' have a bread clip with me. Why?

When trying to figure out if it's actually necessary to have a bread clip with me, I went to Snopes. The website either confirms or debunks 'facts'. They say that this online advertisement that is everywhere, is nothing more than clickbait.

According to Snopes, this is the definition of clickbait. This 'article' is a slideshow of dozens and dozens of pages, without ever really answering the question of why you need a friggin' bread clip! Some of the ads say you MUST have a bread clip with you while traveling, other clickbait says you need one with you at all times. The only reason Snopes found it useful was to fix a plug on the bottom of a flip-flop or sandal.

Maybe you've seen this on Facebook. Snopes went through 90 pages to find that yes, you can fix a poorly made, cheap pair of flip-flops. They also suggested just buying a new pair or investing in a nicer pair.

Thank you, Snopes for saving me time and telling me this claim is false!

There were some suggestions of using a bread clip as an emergency guitar pick, to scratch off lottery tickets, or to attach it to your drink at a party so you know which one is yours. Or, you can just toss it and be grateful that Snopes went through 90 pages to find out that it's useless.
