Argento took to Twitter on Friday to praise the Parts Unknown host for his fearless spirit and generosity. "Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did. His brilliant, fearless spirit touched and inspired so many, and his generosity knew no bounds," she wrote. "He was my love, my rock, my protector. I am beyond devastated. My thoughts are with his family. I would ask that you respect their privacy and mine."
According to a June 8 report from CNN, which aired Bourdain's Parts Unknown, the TV host was in France working on an upcoming episode when his friend, Eric Ripert, discovered Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room.
