A motor vehicle crash involving an Amish horse and buggy occurred on the Conant Road in Easton Early Wednesday.

According to Maine State Police, 22-year-old Zachary Jones of Easton was traveling west on the Conant Road when he crested the top of a hill in his 2002 Jeep -- he did not see the horse drawn carriage on the shoulder of the westbound lane.

Jones attempted to avoid the carriage but struck the back corner and rear wheel.  the Jeep skidded across the eastbound lane and back onto the roadway.

The horse drawn carriage was driven by 19-year-old John Miller of Easton. Police said the carriage had four other passengers, Lydiann Miller, 41, Ada Miller, 18, Naomi Glick, 47, and Noah Glick, 16.

There were no injuries (including the horses) as a result of this crash.
