Accident on U.S. Route 1 in Blaine Blocks Traffic [PHOTOS]

Maine State Police say a traffic accident on Route 1 in Blaine blocked the roadway for well over an hour Friday afternoon.

Two vehicles, a tractor trailer and a pickup truck, collided head-on shortly after 2 p.m. and went off opposite sides of the road into the snowbanks.

Troop F of the Maine State Police said the accident was cleared and traffic was moving in both directions at approximately 3:30 p.m. One driver was taken to TAMC with unspecified injuries.
