18-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
An 18-year-old woman was seriously injured Tuesday morning after a two-vehicle crash on Newfield Road in Shapleigh.

The York County Sheriff’s Office said the North Waterboro woman was attempting to turn into a driveway when her Nissan Rogue was hit around 7:10 am.
Deputies said Driver Turned in Front of Truck
Deputies said it appeared she turned directly in front of a Ford truck, according to WGME News. The F-150 was driven by a 51-year-old man from Shapleigh. Names were not released.
Transported to the Hospital with Serious Injuries
The 18-year-old woman was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries. The driver in the Ford was not injured in the crash.
Road Closed
Newfield Road was closed to one lane for more than four hours.
