34-Year-Old Man Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking of meth after police seized a large amount of narcotics in Sabattus.
Man Arrested for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and More Charges
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said David Strout from Sabattus was also charged with Unlawful Drug Trafficking of Cocaine and with Violating Bail Conditions.
Meth, Cocaine and Drug Proceeds Seized
A search warrant was executed at Strout’s residence at 27 Meadow Lane on July 31. Agents seized approximately 200 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine with other evidence of drug trafficking and close to $5,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Two Children and Girlfriend Present during Search
“Strout’s girlfriend and two children were also present at the time of the search warrant. The State’s Department of Health and Human Services was contacted informing them of the presence of minor children,” said the MDEA.
Previously Arrested after Undercover Purchases
Strout was also arrested on a search warrant in April after undercover purchases of cocaine.
Held without Bail
Strout was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail and was held without bail.
