29-Year-Old Man Died after Motorcycle and Truck Crash in Maine
A 29-year-old man died Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle and truck crashed on Ward Hill Road in Fairfield.
One Man Dead after Motorcycle and Truck Crash
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said Brock Peters from Fairfield was riding his 2005 Yamaha around 3:30 pm when he was hit by a truck hauling a trailer.
Truck was Turning into a Driveway
Deputies said the truck driver, 79-year-old Frederick Landry from Norridgewock, was making a turn into a driveway when the collision happened.
Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead at the Hospital
Peters was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan where he was pronounced dead. Landry was not injured in the crash.
Crash Investigation Ongoing
Ward Hill Road was closed for several hours as the crash site was reconstructed. The investigation is ongoing, said the Sheriff’s Office.
